June and Dad's day.

This blog is also loooooooong over due, but summer, in this Townsend household, is extremely busy. Between, bible studies and church, Carter's basketball games and practices, and Bryan's hockey games, trips to Houston and San Antonio, well, it leaves little time for much else. Oh - we have to work and sleep, too! I thought it'd be easier by doing it one month at a time.

So here's a recap of what June was like....
JUNE

Carter went to church camp again this year at Mt. Lebanon, with our church. He had a great time, and even encouraged his "church bff" to accept Jesus! He was so proud, as were we.

Leaving for church at 5:30am
Waiting for the bus
Loading the bus
Walking to stations
Getting ready to drive the golf cart
Finally home! Time for some Freddy's.
Bryan began playing summer hockey, which I love! Even though his games are late some nights, it's 11110000% worth it!

I started a bible study group at my house on Monday nights. If you're ever looking for one to do, look no further. If you really dive in, you'll be changed.
Named by God
Gran turned 80, so on Father's Day weekend, we went to Spring to help celebrate this accomplishment. Almost the whole Townsend clan was able to be there. We were missing Nathan and Scott, but everyone else was there, and that doesn't happen often. You can read more about that in my Big 8-0 post.

Here are the special "dads" in our lives.

First, my wonderful husband Bryan. God truly blessed me with him and everyday I am so thankful for a loving, supportive, strong husband and father. He is definitely someone that any kid would be lucky to call "dad." Carter has a great guy to look up to.
Aggies in the Roman Colliseum
Then my daddy, Larry (aka. Dad-uh, Dad, Grandpa). He's great, too. Very supportive of everything I do...well most of the time. He doesn't judge me or my decisions, and we can really talk basketball alllll niiiiight loooong. I love this man, and that I got to call him daddy.
Dad with me and my brother, Ben.
My dad's dad, (aka. G-daddy, Grandaddy, Big Larry), is the mostly Godly man I know. His faith and courage over the years has truly been a light to those who need it. He is also pretty darn funny.
Nanan and Grandaddy
My mom's dad, Alfredo (Popo, Papo, Papa). What can I say about him? He's always been a huge part of my life, picking me up from school, and taking me to get Dairy Queen every Tuesday and Thursday after dance class. He taught me to mow, drive, and change my own tires, and how to sing...at least he tried. He is such a strong and wonderful man.
Then there is Bryan's side.

Bryan's dad Rick (aka. Ricky, Gramps, Grandpa), he is so much fun. The kids love to be around him, and he makes us all laugh. He loves playing Wii with his grand kids, and just spending time together as a family. OH and he's an Aggie, that started Bryan's love of all things Aggie, which led us to be the fans we are today.
Bryan's granddad (aka. Gran). He just turned 80 and still knows a lot about everything. He can tell you all about any subject if you ask him. He has a garden that has some of the best jalapenos around. He's definitely a blessing in our lives.
